Dominique PandolfiDominique's awareness of yoga began as a young girl being witness to her mom's daily meditation and asana practice. Dominique's passion for teaching and deep love for the movement arts, has lead her on a powerful journey experiencing many modalities and self-study. In 2000 she began a comprehensive education of the ancient art and science of yoga with Eddie Modestini and Nicki Doanne. In 2004 she became a teacher at their studio on Maui, Maya Yoga. Dominique has traveled with them as an assistant, and was recently included as an instructor on staff for one of their teacher training's. She continues to study with Eddie and Nicki with a deep love and respect for them, and their unique way of sharing their knowledge. Other inspirations for her on going passion of yoga include the writings and teachings of Sri T. Krishnamachaarya, Indra Devi, Sri K.Pattabhi Jois, B.K.S Iyengar, and Mark Whitwell. She feels awed, humbled, and blessed by the offerings of this beautiful practice, and it's potential to drop you right into the realization and recognition of source, of love, of God. “God is the breath inside the breath" - Kabir ![]() Rachel Rosenbaum Being called to the healing arts at a young age and growing up in a family that put great importance on the holistic care of the individual as well as the planet inspired within Rachel a desire to be of service. From her very first experience of yoga Rachel felt its immediate benefits in her physical body and her overall sense of "well-being". Rachel has been studying yoga for over 12 years. Learning both with Iyengar and Ashtangha teachers a like on her journey, she was excited to find Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini who teach from the full spectrum of the Krishnamacharya lineage. She has been studying with them intensively since 2006 and is extremely grateful for their guidance. Rachel has a deep reverence for the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, as taught to her by Nicki Doane, for these simple yet profound writings have given her "new eyes" to view the world. Rachel would also like to acknowledge the teaching of Richard Freeman with whom she also completed a teacher training with in Boulder Colorado. Rachel teaches from her heart following her intuition and allowing the natural intelligence of yoga to guide her. Viewing yoga as a living, breathing entity, she has faith in its ability to illuminate and transform all that it touches. Such a gift must be shared! Knowing the awakening effect of yoga, and having two small children Rachel practices and teaches not only for contentment in the moment but also for a future that is bright, loving, and peaceful. One in which we all wake up and Live! |
